Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provides different approaches to settling disputes outside the courtroom, both before and during litigation or formal administrative proceedings. It typically involves mediation, with a neutral mediator who helps the parties define and resolve their issues, or arbitration. ADR offers parties an opportunity to settle their disputes without having to go to trial, resulting in savings of both time and money.
