Over the course of his 15 year career, Mr. Poyer has closed on over $1 trillion in financing transactions, including public finance, project finance, and real estate finance.  Mr. Poyer frequently serves as bond counsel to municipalities, districts, public benefit corporations, and other issuers in connection with tax-exempt and taxable bond issues, including municipal bonds, 501(c)(3) bonds, qualified small issue bonds, exempt facility bonds, and refundings of various issues.

In addition, Mr. Poyer regularly serves as bank and borrower counsel on complex financing transactions, including syndications and participations.  Such financings have spanned an array of industries, such as hospitality, retail, information technology, life sciences, healthcare, long-term care, and multi-family housing (including low income housing tax credits).

Mr. Poyer also maintains a general business practice, and assists clients with everything from day-to-day contract review up to and including venture equity financing. Mr. Poyer prides himself on learning his clients’ business needs quickly and thoroughly.
