Emily Aziz is an associate attorney in the firm’s Real Estate Department. She represents clients in a broad range of commercial real estate matters, including the negotiation and drafting of commercial leases and purchase and sale agreements, as well as the review of titles, surveys, and other due diligence materials. Ms. Aziz also advises clients on residential real estate transactions and has experience counseling cooperative and condominium boards on governance, compliance, and day-to-day operational issues.
Previously, Ms. Aziz worked for a boutique real estate law firm in Manhattan, where she handled a high volume of residential and commercial real estate transactions, from contract negotiation through closing. Ms. Aziz then served as in-house counsel at a large commercial real estate development company where she negotiated and managed leases across a diverse portfolio of commercial tenants, gaining valuable insight into the business and operational aspects of real estate development.
Ms. Aziz earned a J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law, where she served as Executive Editor of the Journal of Science and Technology. She received a B.A. from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
