Wendy A. Marsh Named Practice Group Leader
Syracuse, New York – Hancock Estabrook, LLP, Counselors at Law, is pleased to announce that Wendy A. Marsh, Firm partner, has been named leader of the Firm’s Zoning & Land Use practice group.
Ms. Marsh represents clients on land use matters, such as zoning, planning and compliance and is experienced in compliance with the State Environmental Quality Review Act (“SEQRA”). She guides applicants, planning boards, historic preservation boards, zoning boards of appeals as well as concerned citizen groups, through the approval process. Ms. Marsh is also member of the Environmental practice group, where she counsels clients on environmental compliance issues, including those relating to the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Toxic Substance Control Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and their New York counterparts. She has represented business clients in negotiating enforcement and permitting issues with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and local environmental authorities, and on remediation projects required by federal and state laws including the federal Superfund, the State Superfund and the new Brownfields Program. Ms. Marsh litigates cases in state and federal court on issues such as compliance, cost recovery, contribution, CERCLA, RCRA and New York’s Navigation Law, as well as Article 78 actions related to zoning matters.
Ms. Marsh is currently the Chair of the Environmental Section of the Onondaga County Bar Association, past Chair of the Air & Waste Management Association (AWMA) Chapter of Central New York and a Member of the Onondaga County Municipal Law Section.
