Six Hancock Estabrook Attorneys Present at the New York State Bar Annual Meeting

Six Hancock Estabrook partners spoke at the New York State Bar Association’s Annual Meeting in New York City, which took place January 21 – 26, 2013.

Cora Alsante, Leader of the Firm’s Elder Law & Special Needs Practice, was the moderator of a panel of Surrogate’s Court judges from around New York State who spoke to the Elder Law Section on “Elder Law Issues in Surrogate’s Court”.

Janet Callahan, the Firm’s Managing Partner, served as a panelist at a Law Practice Management Committee meeting titled “Incorporating Elements of the Law Firm of the Future into Your Law Practice Today”. 

Marion Hancock Fish, Trusts & Estate Practice partner and Chair of the NYSBA Committee on Attorney Professionalism, was a moderator of a panel at a Lawyer Assistance Committee meeting titled, “The Trouble with Larry: Dealing with a Problem Partner”.

Lindsey Hazelton, Labor & Employment Practice partner and member of the Firm’s Hiring Committee, spoke at a Committee Meeting for Attorneys in Public Service on “Social Media in the Workplace”.

Alan Pierce, Litigation Practice partner with more than 20 years of experience handling appellate, insurance coverage, defamation, and litigation matters, spoke to the Young Lawyers Section on “Significant 2012 Decisions of the Court of Appeals and Appellate Division Departments”.

John Powers, Litigation Practice partner and Director of the Onondaga County Bar Association’s Pro Bono Veterans’ Clinic, served as a panelist during the Presidential Summit presentation, “Attorneys Honoring Veterans Through Service”.
