Richard W. Cook Re-elected Managing Partner
Syracuse, New York Hancock Estabrook, LLP is pleased to announce that Richard W. Cook has been re-elected by the partnership as Managing Partner of the Firm.
Mr. Cook practices Corporate and Banking Law. Most recently, he represented clients in a transaction resulting in the first ethanol plant in the Northeastern United States. His practice includes mergers and acquisitions, private equity offerings and general corporate matters. Mr. Cook also handles a variety of banking transactions, including asset-based lending, syndicated loans, letters of credit and general commercial matters.
He joined Hancock Estabrook, LLP in 1975, became a Partner in 1981, and served as the head of Firm’s Corporate Practice Group from 1996 – 2006. Mr. Cook holds a law degree from the Syracuse University College of Law, and an undergraduate degree from SUNY Brockport.
He is a member of the American, New York State, and the Onondaga County Bar Associations, National Association of Bond Lawyers, New York Bankers Association, New York State Economic Development Council, New York State Business Council, Metropolitan Development Association of Syracuse & Central New York, Inc. and the Med Tech Association, Inc.
Mr. Cook is a member of the Advisory Board of HSBC Bank USA. He has also been involved in community activities such as the Boys and Girls Clubs of Syracuse, the YMCA of Greater Syracuse and the American Heart Association. He has two children and lives in Fayetteville with his wife, Maggie.
