Retired Judge Stewart F. Hancock, Jr. Lectures at Cornell Law School

Syracuse, New York Hancock Estabrook, LLP, Counselors at Law, is pleased to announce that Former Court of Appeals Judge Stewart F. Hancock, Jr. spoke on behalf of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy at Cornell Law School, on the topic of “How State Court Law Protects Your Rights More Comprehensively than the Federal Constitution”.

Judge Hancock has returned as counsel to Hancock Estabrook, LLP where he is leader of the Arbitration/Mediation Practice Group which provides arbitration and mediation services in international and domestic commercial and non-commercial matters including negligence. He is engaged in appellate practice and an expert witness on questions of New York law. He has been appointed to the faculty at Syracuse University College of Law as Visiting Professor and Jurist in Residence and teaches a seminar in Case Analysis and Appellate Advocacy. Judge Hancock is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and of Cornell Law School.

Judge Hancock serves on several domestic and international panels including the AAA International Arbitration and Large complex Commercial Case Panels and the CPR Institute for Dispute Resolution Panel of Distinguished Neutrals.

Among other memberships, Judge Hancock is a Fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators and a member of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). He testifies frequently on questions of New York law in foreign jurisdictions.
