Michael J. Sciotti Speaks on Investigation of Misconduct and Disciplinary Actions in New York

Mr. Sciotti holds a law degree and a LL.M. from the Syracuse University College of Law and a bachelor of science from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a partner with the Firm’s Labor and Employment Law Department. His practice area includes jury trials, investigations, labor audits, supervisory and employee training, and claims under Employee Retirement Income Security Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, New York State Human Rights Law, NYS Workers’ Compensation Law, NYS Labor Law, as well as employment agreement disputes.
Mr. Sciotti is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Society for Human Resource Management, and Defense Research Institute.
He has spoken at numerous seminars on a wide variety of labor and employment topics, and is a mediator, arbitrator and early neutral evaluator for the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. Mr. Sciotti has authored many articles in the labor and employment area including, “Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 Whistleblowers Protection” (NYS Bar Association); “Damages Under the Family and Medical Leave Act” (Defense Research Institute); and “Gender Discrimination: A Heightened Standard for Male Plaintiffs?” (Defense Research Institute).
Mr. Sciotti is admitted to practice law in New York and Washington, D.C. and is a member of the bar of the United States Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and United States District Court for the Western District of New York.
