May 2, 2018, Syracuse, NY Marion Hancock Fish, a Partner at the law firm of Hancock Estabrook, LLP, is the recipient of the 2018 Outstanding Service Award, presented by the Onondaga County Bar Association (OCBA).

The Outstanding Service Award recognizes an OCBA member whose service to the legal profession contributes to the welfare of the Bar Association and its members. Ms. Fish received the award at the OCBA’s Law Day Breakfast on May 1. OCBA’s President, Hon. James Murphy, explained that Ms. Fish had gone “above and beyond” when she saw the Bar Association through several months of “difficult institutional challenge.” In 2010, during a Bar Association leadership transition, she filled the gap with her willingness to step in as acting executive director and assure that OCBA business was taken care of all while maintaining her successful trusts and estates practice as a Partner at Hancock Estabrook, LLP.

Ms. Fish is a member of the Firm’s Trusts & Estates, Family Business Succession Planning, Tax, Corporate and Elder Law & Special Needs Practices. She focuses her practice on representing clients in matters involving estate planning, transfer-of-wealth tax issues, family business planning and succession, charitable giving, not-for-profit law, elder law and special needs administration. Ms. Fish works with clients to develop comprehensive plans, and manages the implementation of these plans for effective and efficient estate and trust funding and administration, using a team approach to address all aspects of estate and tax planning and administration.
