John L. Murad, Jr. Appointed Board President for the American Red Cross
Syracuse, New York Hancock Estabrook, LLP, Counselors at Law, is proud to announce that John L. Murad, Jr., Firm partner, has been appointed Board President for the American Red Cross, Onondaga-Oswego Chapter.
Mr. Murad has served as a board member of the American Red Cross, Onondaga-Oswego Chapter for the past 4 years, including 3 years on its Executive Committee. He will serve as the Board President for a 2 year term.
Mr. Murad chairs the Firm’s Litigation Department and is a member of the Executive Committee. He has tried cases involving the defense of the business and health care community in state and federal courts for more than 20 years, and serves as a mediator for personal injury and commercial litigation matters for the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York.
Mr. Murad holds a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and a bachelor of arts from Hamilton College. He is a member of the New York State and Onondaga Bar Associations, Defense Research Institute, International Association of Defense Counsel, Federation of Corporate and Defense Counsel and Loss Executives Association. He resides in the Town of Dewitt with his wife Renee L. James and their three children.
The American Red Cross, Onondaga-Oswego Chapter helps people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. On average, they respond to 1 emergency/disaster per day. They provide immediate assistance and help people rebuild their lives after an emergency. The Red Cross offers a variety of Health and Safety courses to the public and corporate sector in First Aid, CPR, AED and Disaster Preparedness.
