John F. Corcoran Presents at North American Association of Education Negotiators National Conference
Syracuse, New York Hancock Estabrook, LLP, Counselors at Law, announced that John F. Corcoran will be presenting at the North American Association of Education Negotiators (NAEN) National Conference in New Orleans on March 16, 2004. Mr. Corcoran will be presenting an interactive case study for the purpose of identifying violations of labor and employment law.
NAEN is an organization comprised of labor negotiators who represent school districts throughout the United States and Canada.
Mr. Corcoran is a partner in the Firm, concentrating in the area of Labor and Employment, Public Sector Collective Bargaining, Labor Arbitration, Education and Municipal Law. He is a graduate of Syracuse University College of Law (J.D. magna cum laude) 1993 and the State University of New York at Cortland (B.S.E. cum laude) 1977. Mr. Corcoran is a member, New York State Bar Association (Labor and Employment Law Section), Onondaga County Bar Association, and National and New York State Public Employer Labor Relations Association.
He is a former Associate Editor of The Labor Lawyer, the American Bar Association’s Journal on Labor and Employment Law. Author: The Arbitrability of Labor Grievances That Arise After Expiration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Syracuse Law Review 1992. Mr. Corcoran is a past-president of the New York State Public Employer Labor Relations Association and former member of the nominating committee of the National Public Employer Labor Relations Association. He is also a member of the Employment Relations Committee of the Municipal Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, Management Advocates for School Labor Affairs, and the Industrial Relations Research Association.
Mr. Corcoran was formerly a human resources director for Madison County and for Oneida Hospitals. He is a frequent speaker, at the state and national levels, on labor and employment issues.
