Janet D. Callahan and Cora A. Alsante Named Practice Group Leaders
Syracuse, New York Hancock Estabrook, LLP, Counselors at Law, is pleased to announce that Janet D. Callahan, Firm partner, has been named to head the Firm’s Appellate Practice group and Cora A. Alsante, Firm partner, will head the Elder Law group.
Ms. Callahan concentrates her practice on appellate matters and the defense of lawsuits involving professional liability, products liability, construction accidents and veterinary malpractice. She lectures on various civil litigation topics for the New York State and Onondaga County Bar Associations and is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee and Hiring Committee.
Ms. Alsante concentrates her legal practice in the areas of planning for the elderly and disabled, estate planning and trust and estate administration. She is the past Chair of the Elder Law Section of the New York State Bar Association and Past Chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Health Care Issues. She is an adjunct professor at Syracuse University College of Law, where she teaches Elder Law. Ms. Alsante lectures on planning for the elderly and disabled, guardianships, supplemental needs trusts, estate planning and estate and trust administration for organizations such as the New York State and Onondaga County Bar Associations.
