Janet Callahan Selected as a “2016 WCNY Women Who Make America Award” Winner
Congratulations to Janet Callahan, who was a “2016 WCNY Women Who Make America Award” recipient today. This award serves as a “tribute to women whose efforts enrich our local communities” and honors women who are game-changers in their field. The ceremony for this event took place at the Wesleyan Chapel of the Women’s Rights National Historical Park, located in Seneca Falls. Janet was selected for this award due to her trailblazing success as the first female Managing Partner of Hancock Estabrook and the first female Managing Partner of a major Upstate New York law firm, all while maintaining an active legal practice and supporting her community with her involvement in organizations such as the Fayetteville Senior Center Board and the American Red Cross Circle of Red Society.
