Hancock Estabrook, LLP Welcomes New Associates
Syracuse, New York Hancock Estabrook, LLP is pleased to announce the addition of three Associates to the Firm.
Meghan S. Gaffey received her J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law (magna cum laude) where she was the recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship and the MacKenzie-Strickland Scholarship. She was a member of the Justinian Honor Society and a research assistant to Professor Christian C. Day. Ms. Gaffey has an M.B.A. from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management and a B.A from LeMoyne College (magna cum laude), where she was a member of the National Honor Society in Psychology. She served as an intern for the Onondaga County Office of the District Attorney. Ms. Gaffey is admitted to practice in New York and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York.
Christina M. Verone received her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law with a concentration in litigation. She was Associate Editor of the Cardozo Journal of International and Comparative Law and Co-Chair of the Cardozo Intellectual Property Law Committee. Ms. Verone served as law clerk for Hon. Anthony J. Paris, J.S.C., Onondaga County and as an Alexander Fellow for the Hon. Susan D. Wigenton, U.S. District Judge for the District of New Jersey. Ms. Verone received her B.A. from Saint John Fisher College (summa cum laude) where she was the recipient of the Founders Scholarship and National Dean’s List Award. She is admitted to practice in New York, the U. S. District Court for the Northern District of New York and Massachusetts.
Robert C. Whitaker, Jr. joined the firm after serving with the Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps (Navy JAG Corps) in the positions of Defense Attorney, Deputy Staff Judge Advocate, Prosecutor and Legal Assistance Attorney. He received his J.D. from the University at Buffalo Law School where he received the Robert J. Connelly Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and was an editor of the Buffalo Law Review. Mr. Whitaker received his B.A. from the State University of New York College at Oswego (cum laude). He served as law clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Mr. Whitaker is admitted to practice in New York andcertified to practice before all military trial courts.
