Hancock Estabrook, LLP Welcomes Health Law Practice Group Consultant

Syracuse, New York – Hancock Estabrook, LLP, Counselors at Law, is pleased to announce that William H. McAvoy, Jr., CPA, has joined the Firm as a consultant to its Health Law Practice Group.

Mr. McAvoy comes to Hancock Estabrook, LLP from PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. His career spans thirty years in public accounting and management consulting with a specialization in health care accounting, financial systems development, auditing and financial forecasting.

Mr. McAvoy began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP where he became partner in charge of the management of the Syracuse and Buffalo areas health care consulting practices.

Mr. McAvoy holds both a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tulsa and has taken graduate courses in business, accounting and finance at the State University of New York at Binghamton. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and served in the United States Army.

Mr. McAvoy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Healthcare Financial Management Association and a board member for the Boys & Girls Club of Central New York. He lives in Fayetteville with his wife Patricia.
