May 21, 2018, Syracuse, NY Hancock Estabrook, LLP is pleased to announce that the Firm has committed to a thirteen year extension of its current lease in AXA Towers in downtown Syracuse. While the street address of its Syracuse office will not change, the Firm will be relocating to higher floors within Tower I, and its offices will undergo a complete transformation.
The Firm, which currently occupies floors 13 through 15 in AXA Tower I, will move to the top three floors once extensive renovations have been completed. The new space will boast 36,000 sq. ft. of innovative office features designed by King + King Architects, incorporating open collaborative spaces, natural interior light and cutting-edge video conferencing and training facilities.
“We recognize that the nature of law firms is changing. As the expiration date of our current lease approached, we were presented with a great opportunity to evaluate our office space and really consider what we want our law firm to look like in the future. Downtown is our home. We’ve been resident in the AXA Towers for over 50 years, and we are excited about being able to stay at our current address while creating a clean, modern aesthetic in our new space. We are focusing on utilizing modern design to reinforce our Firm culture and allow us to better meet and exceed client expectations,” said Janet Callahan, Managing Partner of Hancock Estabrook.
The innovative new space will encompass design elements that are intended to create comfortable and collaborative spaces for the Firm’s 57 attorneys and 56 staff members. They include a two-floor open reception area with a panoramic view of downtown Syracuse, a state-of-the-art media room that will accommodate large groups and seminars and small seating areas for informal meetings. “Our Firm is always focused on providing our clients with excellent service” said Callahan, “and our client service principles were key in designing our new space. Since our attorneys often work collaboratively to address our clients’ legal needs, it made sense to design a work environment that would nurture these collaborations.”
In addition to these amenities, the newly designed office will boast built-in stand up work spaces for administrative staff and a break room with kitchen facilities and charging stations for laptops.
