Hancock Estabrook, LLP is pleased to announce Emily A. Middlebrook and Courtney L. Troyanovych have been elected to the Firm’s partnership.
Emily A. Middlebrook is a member of the Firm’s Labor & Employment, Municipal & Public Entities, Education and Nonprofit practice areas. She focuses her practice on management-side labor and employer matters representing private and public sector employers. She counsels employers on issues such as wage and hour compliance, leave obligations under state and federal law, addressing discrimination and harassment issues in the workplace and compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations. Ms. Middlebrook regularly assists employers in developing employment policies and handbooks and addressing issues concerning employee work performance. She is a graduate of Syracuse University College of Law and Wells College. She has been selected as an Upstate New York Super Lawyers – Rising Star and to The Best Lawyers in America “Ones to Watch” list.
Courtney L. Troyanovych is a member of the Firm’s Trusts & Estates and Elder Law & Special Needs practice areas. She assists families and individuals on issues and concerns related to preserving, enhancing and transferring family wealth. Ms. Troyanovych works with her clients to develop comprehensive estate plans that minimize federal and state estate tax and maximize and protect wealth for future generations. Ms. Troyanovych also helps clients transfer wealth during their lifetime to minimize estate and gift tax using various planning strategies, including grantor-retained annuity trusts, spousal lifetime access trusts and qualified personal residence trusts. Ms. Troyanovych advises fiduciaries on the administration and settlement of trusts and estates and represents both fiduciaries and beneficiaries through estate and trust disputes, probate issues and related matters. She is a graduate of University of Connecticut School of Law and SUNY Cortland. She has been selected as an Upstate New York Super Lawyer – Rising Star and is the 5th District Representative for the New York State Bar Association Trusts and Estates Law Section.
