Attorneys and staff from the law firm of Hancock Estabrook celebrated the Firm’s long and proud tradition of supporting nonprofit and charitable organizations last week with three days of volunteer community service. Since the Firm’s inception in 1889, employees have committed their time and talent to the Central New York Community. Giving back to the community, which has been very good to our Firm, is an ongoing goal at Hancock Estabrook.
On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, a group of volunteers from the Firm assisted Meals on Wheels of Syracuse with the production and packaging of hundreds of nutritious meals for homebound seniors living in our community, unable to do so for themselves. While a second group of volunteers supported Habitat for Humanity of Syracuse with interior painting for a home near completion on Skiff Drive in Mattydale.
On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, a group of volunteers assisted The Rescue Mission with lunch service, serving the hungry and those in need to promote their welfare, dignity and self-sufficiency while supporting the mission of “putting love in action.” And a second group of volunteers supported Humane CNY and assisted with various dog walks, cuddling and cleaning furthering the message of creating a better community through kindness to animals.
On Thursday, September 11, 2025, our Ithaca volunteers supported Habitat for Humanity of Tompkins and Cortland County by assisting in the building of a home on Dart Drive in Ithaca. This is the second year in a row our firm has been able to support this great cause.
