New York State Harassment Laws – What Employers Should Know

Labor & Employment partner, Robert C. Whitaker, Jr., will present “New York State Harassment Laws What Employers Should Know ” on September 7, 2018, to the Human Services Coalition Executive Exchange.
On April 12, 2018, Governor Cuomo signed a bill into law that expands employers liability for sexual harassment, imposes restrictions on the settlement of claims, and establishes certain policy and training requirements. Mr. Whitaker will address these changes and offer practical insight on how your organization can prepare for the laws requirements.
You will learn about the new mandates for employers, new limitations on non-disclosure clauses and arbitration, the new annual training and recordkeeping requirements, and tips for creating and/or modifying policies and procedures.
