Walter L. Meagher, Jr. is a partner in the Litigation Practice. He is a former Managing Partner of the Firm. Mr. Meagher has more than 40 years of experience in the areas of personal injury, premises liability, automobile liability, construction accidents and products liability litigation.
Representative Matters
- Atwater v. Ryder Truck Rental, et al., Supreme Court, Onondaga County. This case involved several issues of law, including independent contractors, liability as a volunteer and vicarious liability.
- Tiffany v. Federal Express Corp., Supreme Court, Chemung County. This case involved a principal medical issue relating to the impairment of a motorcycle operator which was due to the use of prescription medications including Ativan, Celexa and Neurontin, all prescribed for depression.
- Watkins v. Cusano, Supreme Court, Broome County. A Labor Law §240 case in which partial summary judgment on the issue of liability was granted to the plaintiff. The issue was related to damages, in light of an eight-month hiatus in treatment.
- Adams v. Luttinger, et al., Supreme Court, Onondaga County and Brown v. Smith and Powell, Supreme Court, Monroe Count. These cases involved medical issues related to the alleged ingestion of lead and elevated blood levels ranging from 16 ug/dl to 35 ug/dl and the extent to which each infant plaintiff suffered behavioral and emotional problems, including ADHD and/or cognitive deficits and learning disabilities.
