Michael J. Hrab is a member of the Firm’s Real Estate practice area specifically representing clients in commercial sales and purchases, lease transactions, commercial loans and lender transactions. His diverse background and experience in real estate transactions includes complex title matters, title examinations, title insurance, zoning and land use disputes, drafting lender loan/security documents and tax certiorari matters. Mr. Hrab has represented real estate developers, institutional lenders and credit unions. His recent projects include wind farms, hotels, and student dormitory housing.
Mr. Hrab has extensive experience representing municipalities and public-sector entities in complex code enforcement and land uses matters.
Previously, Mr. Hrab was Counsel at a local title company handling complex title matters and transactions. He has also served as Assistant Corporate Counsel to the City of Syracuse assisting in monitoring housing code enforcements cases for the City and Supreme Courts, as well as conducting administrative hearings for the City Elevator Board, City Police Department False Alarm Board and Syracuse Code Enforcement Department.
In addition to his practice, Mr. Hrab is a Department of State approved instructor on code enforcement and a frequent instructor at the New York State Building Officials Conference. He is a voting member of the New York Department of State Syracuse Regional Board of Review for State Codes.
