Law Librarian – Syracuse

Responsibilities

  • Support lawyers and paralegals in utilizing the collection of desktop research tools, providing instruction and guidance as needed
  • Manage online passwords and subscriptions, interlibrary loan services, circulation, and routing of library materials
  • Process invoices and communicate with vendors, and prepare the library budget
  • Provide onboarding and training assistance to attorneys and paralegals in use of the firm’s library collection and research databases.
  • Conduct legal and non-legal research utilizing online databases
  • Maintain the Firm’s Continuing Legal Education (CLE) provider status

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of law firm or corporate library experience preferred
  • Superior interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent research skills, utilizing print and electronic resources, including proficiency in Westlaw, Lexis, Bloomberg, Practical Law and PACER
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with e-Discovery platforms and productions is preferred

The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $70,000 annually and represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend upon a number of factors, including the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications and skill set.
