Hancock Estabrook, one of Upstate New York’s leading law firms, is seeking an attorney to join its expanding environmental and land use practice. Candidates should have an understanding of all aspects of environmental law, including regulatory compliance, permitting, enforcement, remediation, and litigation. Candidates should have experience with the investigation and remediation of contaminated property pursuant to the New York State Superfund and Brownfield Cleanup programs. Candidates with land use practice and SEQRA experience are desirable. The preferred candidate will be expected to undertake research and writing concerning state and federal environmental laws and possess a commitment to excellence and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 3-7 years of experience in environmental law is preferred. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to join an established and growing environmental and land use practice in an entrepreneurial and collegial work environment.
