REAL ESTATE PARALEGAL

Hancock Estabrook, LLP is seeking a full-time Residential Real Estate Paralegal. The successful candidate must have experience in residential closings representing buyers, sellers, and lenders and knowledge of lending requirements and documents. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Must also be highly organized and able to track a closing from initial contact through closing. Experience with the following responsibilities are critical in this position:

  • Preparing and reviewing contracts, transfer documents, closing disclosures and lender closing documents
  • Facilitating communication between the lawyers for buyer, seller and lender
  • Reviewing title and preparing title reports
  • Conducting lender closings and attending closings

Must be proficient in Word, Microsoft Office and Outlook.

 FACILITIES/MAIL ROOM CLERK:

Hancock Estabrook, LLP, one of Upstate New York’s leading law firms, is seeking a part-time Facilities Mail Room Clerk to provide business and mailing assistance as well as provide pick-up and delivery services for the Firm. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, the ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with others and a can-do attitude. Candidates must have a current driver’s license; safe driving record and proof of insurance as well as be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a continuous basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • Sort and deliver mail, faxes, and completed projects according to schedule and priority.  
  • Make mail drop runs, and rush pick-ups/deliveries. 
  • Process all incoming and outgoing envelopes and packages from UPS, FedEx, etc.  
  • Drive company vehicle for performing business related errands.

  ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Assists in housekeeping and internal relocation of office furniture.
  • Assists in set-up/break down of Firm functions/events.
  • Provides some light facilities maintenance duties as needed such as changing light bulbs, replenishing supply cabinets, copy centers and conference rooms.  
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
