U.S. Department of Education Issues Guidance Regarding the Bullying of Disabled Students

On August 20th, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services issued guidance regarding the bullying of students with disabilities.  According to the Department of Education, “the guidance provides an overview of school districts’ responsibilities to ensure that students with disabilities who are subject to bullying continue to receive free appropriate public education (FAPE) under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).”
