Mary M. Miner is an associate in the Environmental Practice. She concentrates her practice in environmental regulatory compliance under New York State and federal environmental laws. Ms. Miner has legal experience with various environmental compliance issues, including those under the Clean Water Act, RCRA and CERCLA, and has assisted clients in complying with site investigation and remediation requirements under the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s environmental remediation programs for Brownfield redevelopment, inactive hazardous waste sites and oil spill response and remediation.

Ms. Miner has represented businesses and municipalities in various commercial litigation matters ranging from breach of contract and negligence actions to challenges to public agency decisions.

  

  • Assisted various clients in defending cost recovery actions under the New York Navigation Law and challenging the reasonableness of state expenditures. 
  • Assisted a municipality in compliance with a SEQR review of environmental impacts associated with a proposed wind generation project.
  • Assisted a client with the technical aspects of a wetland jurisdictional determination and a permitting procedure under the Clean Water Act.
