Marguerite A. Massett

Ms. Massett has diverse experience in health care operations, insurance, managed care reimbursement and health care public policy. She counsels clients on topics including physician and hospital contracting, joint ventures, health care risk management (including utilization review, quality assurance and credentialing), and third-party payor contract negotiations. Ms. Massett also provides guidance on health care-related regulatory and compliance issues such as antitrust, fraud and abuse, and federal and state enforcement initiatives. She advises clients on voluntary disclosure involving health care claims and billing matters and on federal and state patient confidentiality laws. Ms. Massett has overseen due diligence in major corporate restructurings and health care transactions. Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Massett serves as general counsel to a multi-hospital health care system and in-house legal counsel to a national insurance and managed health care corporation. She was also a lobbyist and public policy advocate in Washington, D.C., specializing in health care delivery and financing issues.
